    Poem Commentary

This was written to my family to remind them that we need to remember the good times we had with our grandma.  My grandma passed on June 13, 2005.  I just wanted to let people that we do not have to build a time capsule because we can use our brain and minds.

    Time Capsule

Slowly, slowly the second hand turns.
Slowly, slowly the minute hand turns.
Finally 15, 30, 45 minutes goes by, than finally a hour.
Time goes by, even faster than we think.
Lets make a time capsule, put memories in each day, put new memories in.

Our brain is our time capsule.
They sut off at night and start over in the morning.
Only we can switch the switch.
Only we can turn our time capsules on or off.
It is all up to us.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
