    Time

    Love to take it.
    Hate to waste it.
    Love to use it.
    Hate to lose it.
    Love to cherish it.
    Hate to rush it.
    Love to find it.
    Hate to miss it.

I’d like to have it, but I don’t have a lot.
    Therefore, whenever it runs
It’s always me against the clock.
    It tries to convince me
    That it moves too slowly.
Its trickery causes me to ignore it.
But when I see it again it tells me
    To hurry up and go.

It’s a danger to be ahead of it
And a danger to stay behind it.
Having too much of it seems bad,
But it’s the same when it’s hard to find.
So how does one capture something
That people find hard to take?
I say: Flow with it as it flows with you.
By then it will be free
And you can take a break.

"Flow with it as it flows with you" —— superb! This poem says it completely: be in the present. Breathe deeply and be.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
