    Today the children cry

Today I saw the children cry
    They cry for you
    They cry for me
Today the children asked me why
    They asked me why
    They will ask you why
They asked why someone wouldn’t try
    Why I won’t try
    Why you won’t try
To make the world a better place
    Better for you
    Better for me
To fill the world full of peace
    Peace for you
    Peace for me
To fill the world full of love
    Love for you
    Love for me
To create a world for a happy human race
    After you and after me
Tomorrow you might see the children cry
How will you answer when the ask you why?

interesting, I guess I feel us crying more than they do, they accept what they've never known as different and we, we refuse to change it for the better-but nice sentiment

Very very nice and yes its theme is very similar to my poem Hunger. I commend you on your choice of subjects .

Wow this is a really great poem. It really makes the reader want to ask these same questions. Keep up the good work can't wait to read more of your poems.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
