    Today

I didn’t want this day to come

Kept fighting what I felt for you

But I knew what I had to do

    For my sake

For the welfare of my Heart

    With great pain

I waited for you to do it again

    Like I knew you would

    And you did

    So I did

    What I had to

A physical pain in my head

To go with the pain in my Heart

    Wanting to cry out badly

With a face full of tears

    This hurt with great distain

    To day

I had to close you out

    Force myself, to stop caring

    Today was the day

    I told you good bye

    I Love you

    But I must say

    I must leave it at

    Good Bye

    -Fin-

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
