Topsy Turvy

Topsy Turvy
A world upside down
Places and faces
With masks of a clown,
Rushing and crushing
As people pass by
Few who notice
The masses that cry.

Selfishly, helplessly
We go on and on
To the edge of a precipice
Soon to be flung,
Clinging and bringing
A message of hope
For a new age Messiah?
We foolishly grope.

Linking and blinking
We connect all the dots
The truth is we're sinking
All tied up in knots,
Where will it end
This planet of ours?
Man on the moon
Life upon Mars.

Looking upward to heaven above
I see God as my hope, his perfect love,
Faith in him sure, that His mercy is pure
Not long now, these days to endure.

What do you see as you look back?
Was it a palace you built, or was it a shack?
A life of good memories, for me at least,
I pray you found happiness, joy and peace.
