    UNDER THE CROWN THORN

Say under the crown a thorns set light
set on the rows into lion dens
    wilden the lion roar,bark,
    set to bite who claims
    what claims who claims
    crawls down,booms
    angry,rumble
    like
    thunder cross
    the mountain summit
    chases away bush livers
every sought the place where peace
    lives,war banishes there they scare
    not,lion must swims to survive,surrender
dethrone,or commit suicide or wear thorns crown

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
