    untitled

    You reeled me in,
    With that sweet smile.
    Demise in your mind,
    All the while.
    It only takes,
    A few times,
    To know that I'm,
    The perfect kind.
    Lonely and sweet,
    Perfect prey.
    A temporary treat,
    To pave your way.
    I lied to myself,
    When I said,
    I could go on alright,
    With you in my bed.
    In just one night,
You changed the way I feel.
    Getting what you wanted,
    With nothing real.
    Just go,
    Walk out on me,
    I don't need,
    Your company.
    You gave me enough.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
