    Untitled

Somewhere mixed between that moment of first seeing you
and the moment the first word was put on this paper
I realized my strength becoming my weakness
I felt joy sipping from the same cup as fear
My happiness even shed a tear
I laid on the clouds and looked up into the ocean
    The moon burned my eyes
and the sun kissed me so softly
    My son called me grandson
and he told me about his past
The good ol days of when
Barak Obama was the king of jazz
The roots of pine trees were reaching up to heaven
and the stars were bottled up in jars
    Blind men were running races
and the prize for victory was scars
    My words chose me wisely
My prayers sent me up above
to enter into a room of confusion
and realize that I was just in love...with you!

Very great use of words at bit of love and confusion wrapped into one! Yet I felt something magical and dreamy in this as well, I felt passion to! Left your mind racing and wondering!! Seems more like a Brilliant love poem to me! Beautiful But!!

leakingpen, This is a fantastic and dreamy poem. I love the imagery here. It floats along with great description. Well done! ginga

how much beauty! both in imagery and super clever juxtapositioning. every line is like being flung with a bungee rope. how great is: "i felt joy sipping from the same cup as fear"! needs a re-write, but i give it a 10!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
