Wandering

I am forever wandering the desert in search of what was lost. I once knew of it, only to find that it was a mirage. It vanished and all was lost. I am shattered. Forever to search the searing sands for the pieces of myself.

Maybe just maybe when all the pieces are put back together the puzzle will reveal its secret. Maybe just maybe I will then regain what was lost when the vessel shattered. Oh how I miss what I lost.

Who knows when or where it will reveal itself. I can always hope it will return to me. Sometimes hope is all we can do to keep us from falling to our knees, and giving up. When I find it I can simply hope that it is no longer a mirage, but a beautiful oasis.
