"Watch What You Pray For"

While taking time to ask my Lord,

For those things I thought I needed,

I should have seen that they were Heaven goaled,

Before I planted, what was prayerfully curiositedly seeded.

For I had asked the Lord to show me,

What the world’s future did hold,

Found out I should have given more thought,

To what maybe God felt was much too bold.

He showed me such destruction,

Of which this world has never seen,

Melting flesh from what once was human of figure,

Walls of fire, famines… human bones meat lean.

This vision given was so vivid,

I wanted to wake up… but could not,

For God had given me what I’d prayed to see,

And I got just what in curiosity got.
