We Can't Forget

We Can't Forget

Eight years have past but that day still remains
Deep in our hearts with all the shocking pain
Americans died from the brutality of others
Even today while we're still trying to recover.
Since that day we stand to fight
Not individually but as Americans we unite.
To remember the lost and the fallen,
And to those who serve, no one will be forgotten.
To the families left behind, you are not alone
Cause as one nation, this is still our home
We will stand together as brothers and sisters,
The fallen souls, we will still hear them whisper.
So don't forget why we wake up each day,
Fly the Red, White, and Blue and let nothing stand in our way.
These are the things we can't ignore,
Cause as one nation we are still sworn
Sworn in as our families lay down their lives
They fight for us, so as one nation, we can survive.
Eight years have past but that day still remains
And WE CAN'T FORGET that September day!!

Very very touching and I fully agree with your words. Great work!

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
