We Honor A King

We Honor A King

When the tempo was silent, then stopped.
When that old negro spiritual to overcome,
has come. merged we will, to His will be done.
sprang forth a King, who was noble of his prize,
who saw a stronger world through spiritual eyes.

Now we honor a King, our soldier of color, who
won with all his might, the war of freedom and
civil rights. We honor our colored solider, We
of every kind, He was made from our heavenly
creator who is also color blind.

Dr. King shared his dreams, innner-visions and
sights of peaceful racial relations and laid the
ground for a stronger nation. His visions, Keep
our eyes on the prize. After all, the war is aganist
those institutions, through guile and device that
hold choosen ones, in unlawful bondage, led like
three blind mice: One of immaturity, One of Immor,
ality, One of Inhumanity.

Dr. King allowed us to use our citizenship, that made
us free, not the rebellion, battles and bloodshed for
that plea. We honor our colored soldier, his bravery,
inner-vision and dreams of human rites how he made
it real and brought his dreams into sight.

Dr. King said, examine ourselves, then prepare ourselves
to be all that we can be, he advised us to utilize these
three, political, economic and educational advancements,
to set the stage and help keep us free.

Dr. King is part of a human rights trilogy being one of
John, Martin and Bobby our universal champion, heroes
and saints all three. Israelites that shined long enough
to show us the way and gave birth and new meaning to
K.K.K. (Kennedy-King-Kennedy).

We all witnessed this eagle, who charged with a mission
sent from high above, to hover here down low, who answered
to call by He who said " Let My People Go".

When you flew away and went to the Top, GOD put you in His
hand until we see you again in the new promised land. A Tear here!
We honor a King, sent from the Kingdom above, who spent his
ultimate...LOVE !    Amen, Amen !

Very well written salty. A true tribute to one so deserving that honor. You bring to light the many truths that people of this generation should truly be aware of. Great job.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
