    WELCOME RAIN

     Rain is nature refreshing herself with her bath
    at first it trickles down as a sort of teasing as it gathers momentum. The sounds are soothing
    I feel it cleansing me as well as the earth
    I feel as strengthened as the plants and trees it nourishes
    I can watch the patterns it creates upon my windows
    I know the power of it and it's ability to become overpowering
    I can walk in it and become soaked but remain warm emotionally
    I can drive in it and listen to the rhythm in conjunction with the wipers
    i know it is an interlude not an intrusion
    It is a welcome break from a dry monotonous climate

    What a wonderfully written piece. To freely speak of nature is soothing to the soul. To read it is simply medicinal! Great job! God bless you!

    thank you for your comment. i like writing about nature. I would like to know where you can enter poems to have them analyzed for comments beside this site. I also have a poem that would be a great childrens book but again don't know how to go about submitting it.

    Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
