    What I Fear

    Life I know.
    We live it everyday.
Death is what I don't understand.
In my world I try to pretend.
I know death is real, I'm scared.
    I find myself in denial.
I want to forget, so i try to smile.
You are sick, I am scared.
    Death is real. I fear.
I try not to shed any tears.
I'm trying to deal. but death is real.
There's no pretending, I want to be far.
    Death it's near.
Why,answer me, why do you take my loved one's.
    Who I loved so dear.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
