What The World Was Watching
It boomed in the late 80'sMen, children, even ladies
Arenas, mechandise, event after event
These athletes were more like super heros that never were spent
Smashing theme songs as they came down the aisle
Sometimes they had a mean face, sometimes a smile
Storylines and scripts that never failed
Was it fake? Or were these guys really tough males?
Shirt ripping, facepaint, flashy costumes, long hair, spandex
Were these athletes? or really thrifty actors mixed with amazing effects?
Whatever it was,
it was fun
It was for all ages
...for everyone
However that innocent style of performing is long gone
but the eighties boom of the WWF still lives on
