What would you say
I didn't want you to know I was hurting today
so i brought a happy book to read along the way
I tried to put myself in their shoes because that's where I wanted to be
but all the pain was building up wanting out you see
I tried to hold it in just a little bit longer
I thought maybe this might make me stronger
I tried to leave I had to get away
I couldn't look you in the eye let alone think of what to say
if you didn't know the one causing this pain is you
but I didn't know what to say I didn't know what to do
Maybe if I told you the pain would go away
but if I did what would you do what would you say
