When memories are all that's left
Our years together offered us endless opportunities to assess ourselves, our happiness and our decisions.
We find ourselves forming fresh opinions with each days lessons, new inspirations replace frustrations.......
.....we learn happiness is empty when peace of mind is not present.
Creating ourselves in our own image, we trade our standards for expectations and participate with opportunity only thru reflection.
Unintentional was the change and harmless the indifference......
.......we wake on opposite sides, strangers now different.
Left with a bitter taste and bad memories we say "This is it".......
. .........."This is reality" .... our marriage replaced with paper thin friendship.
When are you coming home .........I'm lonely :(
