When stars collide.

    When stars collide.

I sit on my porch waiting for the show.

    I watch with my telescope.

    Light years away it happens

They say we will change today

I watch the two bodies approach

The first waves of flame leap.

You can see the tongues of fire touch

    Swirl within one another

As the they merge to become one

    I fear the change today

    The gravity pulls them closer.

    One begins to swell

The flames leap from it with lust

    The flames surround the other

    And the gravity grows stronger.

    The world will change today

The two bodies begin to shake and tremble.

The flames between them have merged to become one

The surface explodes as the skin is breached

    A bloom erupts from there

And one of the bodies arches in the air

    Life will change today

    Explosions fill the sky

Nothing is left to see, the two have merged to become one

The beauty, the power, just the the sight of it.

    I see the new star.

I see the wave from its creations.

It washes over me. the light filled me.

    Everything changed today
