Who am I by Nardine Rene

Who am I?  I am born a girl who became a young lady, a young lady who became a woman, a woman who became a Wife, a Wife who became a mother, a Mother who became a grand mother, a Grandmother who is and entrepreneur, an Entrepreneur who is successful.

Who am I? I am the Nurse who comfort the sick, the Carpenter who’s not afraid of a hammer and a drill, I am the Mechanic who can change a tire, rebuilt a distributer, and start a car when it stalls, I am the Painter, who’s not afraid to paint with beautiful colors.  I am the Lawyer who stand to your defense, the Secretary who keeps track of paperwork details, the Account who handles the finances.

Who am I? I am the Detective who find out the truths, the Singer who sing’s a song, the Musician who can play a flute, the Artist who can paint, an Actress who took to the stage, the Photographer who takes beautiful pictures, the Seamstress who sews.

Who am I? I am a Dreamer who dreams, a Lover who loves, a Minister who preach, a Teacher who teach, a Listener who listen, above all I am a child of God, I am prosperous, I am healthy and I am wealthy.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
