    Why am I

    headlights on the road
    Shadows passing by
    Not a memory to hold
    Theres no reason to cry
So why oh why am i

    Images of last night
    A broken heart of stone
I'm just tired of the fight
So here i am driving alone
    I don't know where i'll go
or who i'll be in the morning
I don't even want to know
all i want to see is...

    headlights on the road
    shadows passing by
    i don't want a memory to hold
So there's no reason to cry
so why oh why am i

I thought this road could drive me away
I thought it could make me forget
I don't want to think about him begging me stay
I know it hasn't happened yet
But you don't know what he'll do
so i'll turn off my phone
    And keep on driving through
I just want to be alone with the

    headlights on the road
    shadows passing by
    I don't need a memory to hold
and theres no reason to cry
so why oh why am i

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
