    Will To Love

I have no need for shiny things or bells that ring in the season
my tears have dried crusted on my face and
    rhymes have no reason
My will to love and be love is lost at sea and there is no light house that
beacons thee no port to dock my broken heart no long lost love to go seeking
I have no need to be advised my mediums or other happy lives that find what I once allowed to creep in
    fresh air only brings tears
night brings the fear that love will never seek me
Embrace my soul and then let go for I shall never love thee
My will to love has all but gone to wander among the weeping
these tears they shed make my bed and flow down my head to keep me
the will to love has rested here and now lays dead beneath me
bring me no flowers sing me no song for there is no one here to
greet thee the will to love is slowly slowly leaveing me

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
