    WINTER IN THE CITY

    Sighs moving slowly
    across the pavement.
    Desires hanging from
    flashing signboards.
    Darkness engulfing the horizon.
    Boundless shadows torn
    by violence.
    Hopes waiting for
    a present time.
    Intense cold that freezes
    the soul to its core.
    Solitary multitudes
    walking without rest.
    Incessant movement
    forever
    paralyzing the city.
    Today and tomorrow bond
    in the mist of twilight.

Nice! i really like that line "solitary multitudes walking without rest".Has a rwal feeling of the city! Also a very comforting end.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
