    Wishes

    I

Wish not to live in the shadows of the past,

Make changes that will forever last.

Wish for a kindred spirit to come,

With arms that are strong, loving and safe,

To feel at home, unlike a tired and frightened waif.

    Wish could love without fear,

Wanting trust to let ones near.

    II

Wish the world's forgotten children to heal, live and thrive,

Without the fear and darkness to truly feel alive.

Wish people could love and not hate,

Do it now before it is too late.

Wish to see the world as a safe place for all,

It starts with us, one step small.
