Sitting here at night staring up at millions of stars
Reflecting on all these marks on my heart that I call scars
I have loved I've been loved I have given it and I have taken it
I have lost it I have gained it, times when it was wrong and times when it fit
There are days when I'm lonely and days I get sad
There are days when I'm happy and days when I am mad
I want what everyone wants a friend and a lover
Someone who accepts me for me and loves that I'm a mother
My shelter from the world when it all comes crashing down
Who knows how to talk to me and the times to not make a sound
I have searched high and low for the one to call mine
The one who is loving, funny,honest and kind
But until that day when my heart is complete and I am flying high
I will be thankful for what I have in my life,my kids and my family and all the stars I wish on in the sky
