    without--i wrote this when i was 16
    I lack something that everyone should have
    It is known in every place.
    This thing is called self confidence
    You can see it on my face.
    I need this thing so very much
    Like I'm sure that everyone does.
    If you ask me why I need it
    I simply say "because".
    I may not in a beauty contest
    Or anything at all.
    But if I had self confidence
    I wouldn't feel so small.

    You have enough to post your poems for a world of poets to see so, I have confidence in you that you must have overcome it to a great degree, or this exchange would not be possible. I like this from the heart of a young girl: very endearing. Thanks for making yourself vulnerable: in doing so, there is strength.
