Writer's Block

Writer's Block

I can't think of anything to write today,

But it rained last night,

And on the screen door,

Captured in the mesh of tiny wire squares

Meant to keep out flies,

Scattered water globules

Glisten in the morning sun

Like a starry night against the daylight sky

In my opinion and experience, sometimes there are things that are meant for a Poet to view, visualize and express, and there are OTHER times, when it is for the Poet to VIEW that which is POETRY in its most fundamental element, to the point where words are not descriptive of capturing the moment. What you have written here is Exactly one of those moments for you were in AWE of the BEAUTY Of Pure Poetry itself. Please feel free to come by and view any and all of my work. Peace BLAS

wHAT BLOCK? MAYBE YOU DON'T KNOW IT, BUT YOU ARE A POET! THERE'S ALWAYS SOMETHING TO WRITE ABOUT WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT, GREATNESS APPEARS! LIKE THIS SIMPLE BUT VERY VIVID PIECE. VERY NICE.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
