    You and I

    You laughed, I learned
we sat together and both our
    hearts yearned
    for understanding,some truth and
    a lil fun
we abandoned our guards and let life fill all around us
I sighed, I giggled and let fear subside
you smiled, you laughed and dove right in
    relaxed and drift away
    please can we stay

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
