your all you need

She sits alone in the quiet park
waiting for her special friend to come and comfort her
her special friend is someone she can depend on
someone she can trust and go to with her problems
and who can understands
she thinks about all they have talked about
and says she is the only friend she has that she can trust
she thinks about there day together
and how much fun it will be
time goes by and the park lights come on
shinning down on the fresh rain puddle
that was made  earlier that day
she looks down and sees her reflection
she realizes that her special friend is herself
and that she can only trust herself and no one else
she depends on nobody and needs nobody but herself

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
