    A Child’s Christmas Eve

    Oh I’m so excited

    it’s Christmas eve

    and father Christmas is coming

I keep looking out of the window

to see if I can see him

    but mummy says

     I have to  be asleep

other wise he will not come

    I’m getting very  sleepy  now

and soon I am off to bed

    but before I go

I  put out a mince pie and some carrots

for father  Christmas  and  his reindeers

    so they won’t be hungry

    I ask mummy

if she would make him a cup of tea

so he won’t be cold when he goes back outside

    she smiles at me

    and says

that she  will make sure hat he will be alright

    I climb into my bed

    and  go to asleep

    in the morning

I awoke with a shriek of delight

    as I saw my presents

    sitting there

    waiting for me to open

    I thought to myself

    thank you father  christmas
