The Debt A Sinner Owes

Poem Commentary

Its the debt we all owe to God because of our sin against Him and His Holiness, death eternal, but christians are forgiven of having to pay that debt because Jesus paid it for them on the cross. Thanks be to God! Many people believe that they are going to heaven but their name is not written in the Lamb's book of life. Mt. 7:21

The Debt A Sinner Owes

Most know right well, where they will end up
others are fooling themselves, and are so out of luck.
Into the darkness with a fiery light,
many will go though they put up a fight.
One they are sure to lose without a doubt,
because the one who could save them,
they tried to live with out.
But those who loved Jesus while still on earth
will rejoice forever, because of their second birth.
Born of the Spirit, never to tell,
know or see, whose ever in hell.
But all of those who travel there
will know and see
all of the christians, including me,
what we are doing while here on earth
and in heaven, for all it is worth.
You may be one wondering,
why did you neglect such great a gift,
to be tormented in flames, surely you did not wish,
but God is just you must proclaim
to those and you who have rejected His name.
His righteous judgement will forever stand,
while you pay your debt, forever damned.

Oh you are most very welcome..... Keep writing my friend.... Mary

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
