The Coming Judgement

Poem Commentary

For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. We owed a debt we could not pay. He paid a debt He did not owe.

The Coming Judgement

There is a day coming we all must face,
no matter our income, wisdom or race.
We must all give account for the things we have done;
whether good or bad, for battles lost or won.
Will our gold be refined and silver lose its' dross,
or will all be burned as hay and lost.
For a few fate will fall somewhere in between,
no matter how nice, or no matter how mean.
But most will find their fate in a fiery burning lake.
Only what is done for the Lord will last,
everything else must quickly come to past.
No ones' strength on earth can save from the flame,
If not for the blood of Jesus, we would all be slain.
So believe on the Lord while you still can
For the day is approaching where no one can stand.
For every knee will bow and tongue confess
that Jesus is Lord. May God richly bless..
