A moment with Him
A moment with HimIt came and went in a flash!
One moment i was here,
The next - i was gone!
Gone to a place unkown
Yet the safest place ever.
I was strong
And didn't fret
But i knew i had witnessed
His presence.
For a brief moment
LIfe stood still
As I longed for it,
and understood the reality of death.
I held on but felt nothing -
No! not even remorse for my sins
but a kind of assurance and certainty
I had never felt - ever!
Then it came - a moment with Him.
I know now
The reality of death.
I saw today
The thin line between life and death.
In retrospect I marvel
At the experience and composure
Of that moment with Him.
A moment of mutuality between us.
No words - just a moment with Him.
I have another chance,
To live and breath
this air that I neglect.
now gasp for some air with
intent and marvel.
i promise to love more
and live more.
to my dismay i feel the same
no revelations or aha! moments.
Just me but a bit rattled.
Just glad I lived
to reminisce of an ordeal
and A moment with Him.
