    A Mothers Prayer

As I pray one more prayer in the middle of
    the night
I wonder what my future holds and if my
    decisions are right,
Lord please protect their hearts as they
may feel hurt, angry, and mad
And relieve the guilt I feel for having to
leave behind what toys they had,
I pray for strength because my mind, body,
and soul feel overworked and beat
My three blessings rely on me from their
    head to their feet,
I pray they always remain faithful and
spiritually stand out from the rest,
Please keep their hearts pure while I teach
    them to serve you best,
Thank you Lord for the three angels you
    have lent to me
They are my world, so I pray to be the best
    mother that I can be.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
