    A question for my mother

    Tell me why.........

    aren't you stronger

did you give up on yourself so easily

did you throw away a second chance at life

you choose to hurt those that love you most

are you putting us through this pain again

    are you being so selfish

you choose to walk through this valley again

    there were no lessons learned

have you turned your back on what you know is right

    you don't love yourself anymore

don't you feel your life is worth fighting for

our love for you wasn't strong enough to keep you

do we have to lose another parent so soon

are you robbing us of a future with you

    won't you seek GOD first

you choose destruction by your own hands

you won't trust in his divine plan

have you refused all he has to give

    have I givin up hope

is there emptiness in my heart when I think of you

    my tears have run dry

    I'm expecting the worst

    I'm waiting on that call

    I'm preparing for the news

I've practiced these lines a thousand times  "She was a good mother, a good friend, she left us too soon…she will be missed."

has it come to this mom?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
