    A RAMADAN CAROL

Now I have a Liz and Luz
One is honey, one is booze
Ellen, my third nurse flew out
To the States for weeks I'll count
I'll miss her at two PM
'Cause she is always sharp, not dumm
She puts order in my life
    During hectic work and strife
    Multi-handed, multi-gifted
Many a burden she has lifted
    God: spare her Osama's wrath
And the sword of Abu Sayyaf
    May she never be kidnapped
Or highjacked or by force trapped
    Let her enjoy Christmas days
And New Year in best of ways
    Christmas carols are a joy
    To Ellen, Benjamin and Roy
They are family of a kind
Like a treasure, rare to find
    When Dr. Abdallah calls
    Heaven answers, blessing falls
God's gates are open in Ramadan
The Holy Month of the Qur'an
    The devoted poor Abdallah
    Is granted mercy from Allah
