    A Tragedy

    Once a man alone
    Many dark days past
    Yet contempt by my standards
    So unjust is my fate

For now love has found me
Such an unmerciful beast she be
    Causing happiness in my life
By the likes of which I have never seen

    I am in love indeed
For I swear by the moon
Which is inconsistent with its presence,
That she is my soul mate

Oh love why must ye be so cruel
What have I done to thee
That I deserve such a companion
    To love and be loved
