    A Trapped Mind

I sit here alone in the Dead of night...
Trying to fight through what I call my life...
Throwing endless punches at what is my fear...
    Locked up in a room...
    Insanity's Near!
Casting myself evil glances in the mirror...
As I plague my unconscious mind with an unyielding fear...
My conscious mind is trapped on the other side of my tears...
Along with my reflection in the puddle of smears...

Death doesn't matter to me anymore...
Why should i care...nothing to live for...?
    Nothing to give me happiness...
    Nothing to give me hope...
I have nothing but a blank stare into a mirror that is my soul...
    Love is a mystery...
    Love isn't a game...
Love is worth more than wealth and fame...
    I once had Love...
    I once had Hope...
Is the answer to a restless heart a rope?

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
