    Alone No More

I am smiling with the joy in my mind,
It has come so easy for my this time...
I raise my glass with the thoughts of the night,
Wondering if it will always be right....
We talked for hours and wanting more,
With the feeling, I was Alone No More!!!!

I enjoyed this piece, short, but very descriptive of, perhaps a chance meeting, of strangers which ends up dispelling some of the angst and loneliness from having being held captive in self preservation far too long, and now finds a trusting consort in life to open up again... i'm not sure i get the full impact of the second line of this piece, but i read around it... A nice write....

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
