    Always Here and There

So often I lay in bed and just simply stare into the darkness,

that's all around me, I reflect on the days events,

and ponder about why some of things that were said were and

why something happened the way it did.

Then as I lay in total darkness and the only sounds I hear,

are those of my mother's breathing in the next room,

a verse of scripture will run through my mind.

As it does, I am comforted in that moment in time,

in the stillness of night.  Yet again, I am reminded,

no matter where I am, who I am with or even if I am all alone,

I am never really by myself, and that God is always there.

I am also retold again that He will always be there,

no matter where I go or who I am with or how badly I mess up,

or disappiont those who I love, I can always go to my Heavenly

Father for lovr, comfort, mercy and forgiveness.

For you see  I am learning to trust, try and prove God,

over and over again because even in the stillness of night,

as I lay in bed, I am comforted that He is

and will always be here and there.
