AN ODE BY A NIGHTINGALE TO HER LARK

An Ode By a Nightingale to Her Lark

You're like a breath of fresh air.
You're like a ray of sun,
Which found its way towards my heart
    When it was very sad...

I thought i could be happy
    Without a friend nearby...
I thought no one could cheer me up
the way like I feel now.

For work and work is all I do,
I don't think much of fun.
But now that I have met you,
    I stop...and pause..then smile.

I know the sun won't always shine...
    but now I'm never sad...
Because I know after the rains,
You'll come and bring me "light."

As sweet as the guy I wrote it for, Babel! An honest kind man with whom I have been friends with for 6 years, but we share only clean friendship...sigh! We are from different worlds.....
