    Are You My Need?

I sat in silence this morning
Watched you sleeping in my bed
And in a brief moment of heartfelt joy
An idea of love scampered through my head

    Taken aback, ponder I must
Is this really it, are you my need?
Some say yes, some say no
    I'm completely absorbed by intrigue

I feel a want unlike any other
Cautious and concerned, I must behave
Holding you in my arms I heard screams
Screams of my heart from its' shallow grave

we have both suffered a great deal
A wretched society of twitsted fate
Two devils play part in our disguise
Yet could there be an us in our fate

Please tell me you will be mine
Let love bloom from our estranged seed
Help me to learn of you and me
Are you my lost want, are you my need?

I like that you are searching with your words away to resonate your emotions and make them a reality. Love has an elusive nature, to be sure.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
