    Do I Miss You?

I could be crazy, I do not know
    Every time I turn around
My eyes say they saw you there
    Gone
As I rest on my sofa
    Your hands caress my back
I roll over to kiss you
My lips are met with air
    Gone
I hear you whisper in my ear
"You know I love you, right?!"
I reach back to run my fingers through your hair
    Gone
I would stake my life on a bet that you are here
    Yet my search proves irrefutable
    You are not here
    Gone
    ... or are you?

Our love has deluged from us
I have been immured by its' power
And your presence holds me in my shell
    Contained and content
You live inside my heart and you sing with my soul
    Life will one day end
My love for you will not

I like the lines of content!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
