    As I Lay Dying

    Body still.

    Breathe with mouth open.

    Hear vulturous greedy.

    Blood slows.

    Cant move.

    Soul sensation of long ago,

    playing at mother's feet,

    riding high upon father's shoulders,

    running, climbing,laughing as

    sun warms freckled face.

    I reach now towards heaven.

    Smile beams from wrinkled face.

    I hear no more.

    I feel no more.

    I am dead.

    Beware!

When I die my eyes will be closed,

But, they will be open to those

    that closed them!

    In God I trust.
