    Memories

    Memories"

    Dark conveys elevated snows,

school day awaits in winter gloom.

    Mush egression maize meal,

    Starched devoured calico sac,

    adorn infinitesimal anatomy.

Noon fodder fashioned lard oozing sugar bread.

    Night stove stew fling,

    steaming condensation against ebony windows.

Water tub lye brush body to bed bunk,

Roy, Gene, Hoppy & Inner Sanctum,

end a day of powerless desire

Would you want to travel back in time knowing what you know now ? If you could what would you take with you?

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
