    Aunt for Uncle

    As I watch you sleep
    your breath deep and slow
I think how lost I will be
when its time for you to go

The grip of pain it tightens
    it pulses and it grows
like the waves of the ocean
it holds you in its throes

I know its selfish to make you stay
    to suffer endlessly
but I don't want to face the day
    when it is only me

Its nice that ordinary feeling of dread is transported into poetry. You know how to play with words. Its nice.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
