Betrayed Friendship

Betrayed Friendship

It was a very sunny day

When Ode met you with a smile

Reaching forth for a friendship

That seemed would last a lifetime

It was a very cold day

When Ode handed you his only coat

Reaching forth for a sacrifice

That seemed worth offering

It was a very calm day

When Ode knelt beside your sick bed

Reaching forth for a love

That seemed could bind forever

It was a very sunny day

When you framed Ode in a crime scene

Reaching forth for a betrayal

That could leave a lasting pain

Oh! What have you made out of true friendship?

Why have you turned sweet sour?

And taken the nectar out of the flower?

You have altered the beautiful design of God

Just like the people betrayed the love of our Lord

thanks for your comment.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
