Betrayed in the worst of ways, is my heart, stabbed deep from within.
Betrayed is my trust, by the one closest to my soul.
Betrayed by my closest friend, my heart, my angel...
WHY???
What happens when your soulmate destroys all that you are,
crushes your spirit from within,
buries the blade of betrayal to the hilt,
in your heart,
then stands by and looks you in the eye as the love you once shared,
all that you have spent building together,
drains from your tortured soul & pools at their cold uncaring feet.
All that I am lay crumpled at your feet helpless,
defenseless, at your mercy.
As you walk away the love fades from my eyes as the life we would have shared, the future we would have built,
fades to a hollow nothing.....
