B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth)

Poem Commentary

I wanted to do a little word play while speaking about the Word of God and how we choose to take his Word and make it fit our purpose.
In the third line,at the end, I use "4 1 2 have" as a way of looking at paganism.
The pagans always believed numbers where of some spiritual sign.
If you add the numbers together you get the number 7...which could be good luck or bad luck depending on your beliefs, situation, and environment.
If gambling,...like i said, "Unknowing the tongue is a sword...",you want a 7 (or 11...1+1=2,...takes two to tango...sword). But, they say if you break a mirror you get 7 years of bad luck."
See what I'm saying?
It was cool to use numbers and in the middle of hte poem mention
The Price Is Right.

Cryptic messages are often overlooked
and slander is the road usually took.
Unknowing the tongue is a sword and a privilege 4 1 2 have.
Rebooting in this generation called the Wii-age...
Where the Gospel is according to whom it may concern...
I fear losing my religion.
When it comes to my soul,...I'm not Bob Barker
and The Price Isn't Right.
As I wait for love to return I read the manual to relearn what was taking not too long ago.
Lord, allow us to become like those mustard seeds...
Many, and the definition of glorifying your name.
With as many imperfections that I carry...
make me stronger and secure in your WORD.
I want love, but know not how to control this machine.
Lord, you lead...
Give me...

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
