    black and red hearts

it's funny how your life can be on repeat
waiting for your heart to skip another beat
if you say something and then not listen
if you act on something and then not reason
then you call yourself out when your lying to yourself
the room spins black when you let a fire burn out
but maybe with a spark you can paint the room again
your heart paints me red and I'm not ready to go cold
when the lights are out and everyone is home
its you and me in my head thinking again
sometimes the greatest mistakes are the ones we forget to make,
and when the light shines my eyes and my brain is turned on
i see your face again, just like it was the first time
sometimes the greatest mistakes are the ones we forget to remember,
its great to see myself back in a photograph
time stands still when i think of you
and the world means nothing when you have nothing left
sometimes the greatest mistakes are the ones we choose to regret,
but you mean everything underneath my breath
where forever lies and secrets are not regrets but truths
you can't hold back what you know is right for you
there is so much i want to say but never can let the words escape my thoughts
because you are everything i could never be, and everything i ever wanted
sometimes the greatest mistakes are the ones we never learn from
don't make this mistake once again
when it feels right you know its secure,
when tonight is done don't feel left out
letting go is a start, starting over is better and falling in love maybe better next time
so you start the fire that paints your heart
    and never let it go...
love is in you and with you tonight

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
