Black Roses

Black Roses

black roses

broken hearts

torn in pieces

trying to fix things that are wrong

wanting 2 turn back hands of time

red lips

smiling faces

people in love all around me

wishing i was like them

but only being me

promises made

promises broken

more lies than truth

but that is my everyday life

black roses

broken hearts

torn in pieces

red lips

smiling faces

which is true

which is false

i wish i knew

which was real an which was fake

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
